CVR - Central Business Register

CVR, which stands for Central Virksomhedsregister (Central Business Register), is a central database that contains information about registered businesses and other legal entities in Denmark. It is maintained by the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) under the Ministry of Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs.

The CVR register serves as the official registry for all companies and other entities operating in Denmark. It provides a comprehensive source of information on businesses, including their legal status, registered address, ownership structure, key personnel, financial statements, and other relevant details.

Registration with the CVR is mandatory for most types of businesses in Denmark. Upon registration, companies are assigned a unique CVR number, which serves as their identification number and is used for various administrative, legal, and taxation purposes.

The CVR database is publicly accessible and can be accessed through an online portal known as the "Virk" system.
